Hey there! I'm Lope, a creative writer with over ten years of professional storytelling experience crafting scripts for the film industry and prose for a wide variety of media. I'm confident in my ability to write effectively in any genre, for any demographic, and if there's something I've never written before I see it as a welcome challenge. Evocative storytelling, memorable characters, and punchy dialogue are all well within my realm of expertise.

Rates

Standard Writing
$0.07 USD per word (minimum 100 words)
I will write whatever fictional content you want, with one editing pass included after the first draft at your request. Note that I will not write fanfiction (no, I've never watched your favorite anime) or nonfiction like essays, articles, research papers, etc.Proofreading & Editing
$25 per hour (minimum 1 hour)
I will read through your completed pre-written work, identify errors ranging from spelling and grammatical mistakes to passive or weak phrasing, and edit it to be more effective. Note that I will not continue an incomplete piece where you left off.Film/TV/Animation Scripts
$20 per page (minimum 1 page)
I will write your script in the Hollywood industry standard screenplay format, with one editing pass included after the first draft at your request. Note that I will not use any other format.Additional Notes
—First-time clients must pay for their commission upfront. This payment will be refunded if I become unable to complete the commission. If you cancel the commission after work has already begun, it will not be refunded.
—You may request further editing of a piece beyond the included free pass. Proofreading & Editing rates will then apply.
—You may request a rushed commission for an added 20% fee. Typically, this means anything quicker than two weeks, but may vary depending on my workload at the time.

How This Works

After agreeing to the commission and paying the initial fee if applicable, you will provide all of the information and any additional requests you might have for the project. I can always expand on vague ideas; however, having any of the following details in mind upfront will make the process smoother and the turnover times faster:—Approximate deadline
—Expected word count (page count for scripts)
—Genre (action, romance, etc)
—Point of view (first person, third person)
—Tense (past, present)
—Voice/Tone (serious, tongue-in-cheek, etc)After the first draft is complete, I will give you the opportunity to request any edits or alterations*. I will apply said changes if requested and send the finished product along with an invoice via PayPal. Payment is due within 24 hours of receiving the invoice.*Free edit requests must be within reason. No complete rewrites or overhauls. Requests must be made shortly after delivery of the first draft, otherwise the draft will be considered approved.

Terms of Service

1. I reserve the right to decline a commission for any reason.
2. Payment will be made via PayPal in USD.
3. If for whatever reason the final work comes in below my set minimums, you will be charged the minimum price.
4. Prose and miscellaneous writing will be delivered as a DOC or PDF; scripts will be delivered as a PDF.
5. There are no restrictions on how you use the final piece once payment is rendered.
6. You are not required to credit me for the written material that you commissioned. Just be aware that if you take credit for my writing, it may open a can of worms when others expect more from you – I am not responsible for this.
7. I may post the finished piece as an example to future clients. If for some reason you are uncomfortable with this, let me know in advance and I may reconsider.
8. The client is responsible for whatever content is or isn't legal in his or her region.
